We are a fast-paced and client-focused personal injury law firm located in Atlanta, GA. Our dedicated team is committed to delivering exceptional results and compassionate service to those who have been injured due to the negligence of others.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Closing Department. This position plays a vital role in the final stages of our personal injury cases, ensuring that settlements are processed accurately and efficiently, and that clients receive superb customer-service as their case concludes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and finalize settlement documents, including settlement statements and closing letters.
  • Assist in coordinating disbursement of settlement funds, ensuring accurate distribution to clients, providers, and lienholders.
  • Request and negotiate reductions on outstanding medical bills and liens.
  • Communicate with clients, medical providers, and lienholders to resolve balances and obtain approvals.
  • Copy, scan and print case related documents.
  • Process and track settlement checks, ensuring proper endorsement and timely payment.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documents are scanned and uploaded to case management system.
  • Communicate and refer any issues to the direct supervisor.
  • Update case status and assist with audits or internal reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Minimum 2 years of personal injury law or legal administrative work preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle constructive criticism.
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with a client-first attitude.
