We are a growing firm seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intake Specialist/Case Manager to join our personal injury team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective clients, responding to phone calls, emails, or online inquiries.
- Conduct detailed interviews to collect pertinent details such as accident descriptions, injuries sustained, insurance information, and potential witnesses.
- Input gathered information into the firm's case management system accurately and thoroughly.
- Support firm attorneys and staff with various duties for Personal Injury cases to facilitate and expedite service to firm clients.
- Obtain pertinent information from clients, including treatment status, doctor appointment information, changes in medical care and/or work status, documents and records information, etc.
- Communicate with insurance companies to secure policy information, acceptance of liability, and the like.
- Open and maintain client files.
- Obtain medical bills and records from healthcare providers.
- Identify and complete daily tasks related to the management of each case, documenting notes in the firm’s case management system.
- Review and organize extensive client documents, including medical bills and records, letters, and legal documents.
- Draft legal documents for attorney review.
- Interface with clients on non-legal issues relating to the management of their cases.
- Refer legal issues to the appropriate attorney(s).
- Conduct client interviews to gather information and assess needs.
- Provide empathetic support and guidance to clients throughout their case journey.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working at personal injury law firm.
- Auto insurance claims and medical records expertise preferred
- Strong time management skills required
- Must be able to multi-task and handle tasks quickly and tactfully with all levels of Firm personnel and the public.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude, self-motivated professional
- Data entry proficiency and computer skills – Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to keep case notes current and documented appropriately
- Ability to follow direction and use initiative to complete tasks
- Team player and Detail-Oriented
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent at minimum
Compensation: Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
